I’m still lurking on Twitter too and have many of the same book people there too. Joining Jules’s book club has broadened my reading.

Have you ever read Robertson Davies? I feel like if you've read A Prayer for Owen Meany, he might also be to your taste.

No, but you are the second person to recommend! I need to explore. Is there a book you’d recommend I start with??

Fifth Business is the best of them.

Such a lovely post. I miss Twitter but couldn't stay with EM in charge - and I think I was a bit too broad in my interests! So glad you are still with your tribe, and hope the overlord leaves you alone and, as you say, sells it off. If the little bird returns, that will be my cue to rejoin!

Hi Jennie, I enjoyed your post and I can see why you love Twitter. It’s where you found your feet, came into yourself as a writer. It’s sad that it’s changed, no longer the same cosy “pub”. I feel a little like that on here, although initially I felt very overwhelmed, and felt like you that it’s a platform for intellectuals and “big” writers. I chose my handle name because of this, so I could tiptoe in, excusing myself, a total imposter. Now I love it here and feel very at home, despite not having a huge impressive number of followers . I love to share and cheer on, it’s fun and exciting! The Strictly twitter sounds like it was exhilarating! I used to do that with my sisters!! Thanks for this ❤️ I’m cheering you on, for sure ❤️
