Love this post! ‘Too tight thong week’ is such a great turn of phrase and I instantly know what you mean! I’m all about loose fitting clothing and what a great philosophy for life.
Having just binged on all your posts (which I loved, thank you!), and never having worn a thong, I realise that I’ve inadvertently spent quite a lot of my working life in a thong that is several sizes too small… time to take stock and perhaps to invest in some big girl pants!
Jennie - you are a guiding star for me. Thank you for the generosity and honesty of your writing here. My thongs are now converted to hanging plant holders (remember 70's macrame spider plants?) ... but you remind me to shrug my life/coat onto my shoulders and to be AA savvy - xxx lots of love from an ancient friend xxx (Awfully moved by seeing you all over famous-land - and glad as glad for you xx Incredibly well done) xxx Cherry xxx
Well said, Jennie. I think we can all be too tough on ourselves at times. I find writing very therapeutic and I work better when I have a deadline. But deadlines can always be changed…
Thanks Jennie. I needed to read this today. I’m having one of those overwhelming weeks where I’ve so much to do that I don’t know where to start. Like you, I find writing here on Substack to be therapeutic and so that is one thing that will definitely happen this week regardless of everything else. Sending strength! X
love this jennie xoxo
